With ARMOR SHIELD® Desiccants, the job of managing moisture and humidity in the packaging or storage of metal parts is cut-and-dried. Desiccant packs adsorb water and reduce the amount of moisture present in the air, and when used in combination with ARMOR VCI Nanotechnology™ (our “secret formula” for vapor corrosion inhibitor), rust and corrosion doesn’t stand a chance.
ARMOR brand desiccant is available in several types including Silica Gel Tyvek®, Clay Tyvek® or Clay Sewn Cloth, and in sizes that range from .5 grams to 2,500 grams. These powerful pouches of moisture control are ideal for use in packaging, storage and/or shipping containers.

Used mostly in industrial applications due to its economics, clay can adsorb up to 30% of it’s weight in water vapor at 77°F (25°C) and 80% relative humidity. The dust free Tyvek® pouch is strong and durable and prevents against punctures and tears.
Ideal for temperatures above 120°F (49°C) and will adsorb about 40% of its weight in water vapor at 100% humidity. Silica gel works faster than clay as it can adsorb 15% of its weight in water vapor in 2 hours. The dust free Tyvek® pouch is strong and durable and prevents against punctures and tears.
